Land Rover has revealed a special edition Discovery XXV in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the original Discovery.
The Discovery XXV is based on the top of the range Discovery HSE Luxury specification, meaning customers will get a premium interior lined with Windsor leather and subtle XXV special edition embossing.
It is available in bespoke Causeway Grey, with Narvik Black grille surrounds and mirror caps, silver full-length roof rails, body-coloured door handles and a stainless steel bumper accessory tread plate make up the exterior additions along with 20-inch forged alloy wheels.
The interior is given a new colour way known as Cirrus, which is unique to the XXV.
As the XXV is based on the HSE Luxury spec, expect to see all the top technological gadgets such as Terrain Response, Hill Descent control and the top of the range 825w Meridian stereo, keyless entry and rear entertainment systems.
Phil Popham, Group Marketing Director at Jaguar Land Rover said, “the Discovery XXV Special Edition is the ultimate in sophisticated versatility and a fitting tribute to the legendary status of this iconic Land Rover.”
As for engine choice, there is the 3.0l SDV6 turbo-diesel pushing out 252bhp allowing the heavy vehicle to hit 62mph in 8.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 112mph. Land Rover claims it’ll return 35.3mpg and emits 213g/km.
Prices for the Discovery XXV will start at around £63,000, up from the current HSE Luxury spec at £59,450.
