Prices for the third generation Skoda Fabia estate will start from £12,460 here in the UK when it arrives in Spring 2015. The Fabia has been a great seller for the Skoda brand selling over 1.1 million examples and 25% of that coming from the UK alone.
The new Fabia estate will be made available in three trims; S, SE and SE-L.
Entry model S is fitted with six airbags, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth connectivity, start/stop and electric front windows as standard. SE models gain manual air conditioning, alloy wheels, Front assist, Arkamys surround sound package with a Bolero radio with telephone control, mirror link, USB and SD connections. Opt for the range topping Elegance model and it adds climate control, light assistant, cruise control and ‘KESSY’ Skoda’s keyless entry.
The Fabia has the largest boot in the segment with a mammoth swallowing 530 litres with the rear seats up expanding to a massive 1,395 litres. The body is now wider and longer which gives the boots its large loading space.
All three trim levels will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines ranging from the frugal 1.0 MPI with 74bhp up to the 1.2TSI and 1.4TDI engines with 109bhp, 89bhp and 104bhp respectively. The 1.2 TSI engine looks to be most popular with British buyers and order books will open in December with first deliveries expected to happen in March of 2015.
